Graduation Rate

Beauty Technical College Inc graduation rate is above the national average.

74% of full-time students enrolled for the first time to Beauty Technical College Inc completed the education program and got a degree in 150 percent of the expected time of completion.

The graduation rate value includes only programs that were completed less than six years for four-year degrees or less than three years for two-year degrees.

Graduation rate is the percentage of institution’s new-entering, first-time, first-year undergraduate students who complete their program within 150% of the published time for the program. Graduation rate excludes an extensive number of students. This index doesn’t take into account students of nontraditional enrollments - part-time students, students who enroll mid-year, and who transfer from one institution to another. So graduation rate alone can create a misleading picture. Completion rate in the form of total number of students receiving any types of awards/degrees creates a complete picture. Combining this data with graduation rate is a better way to compare educational institutions.

I traveled through Tablequah needing a haircut. The staff and students were so kind and talented. Richard was great and a lot of fun. I will be going there again.

Overall Rating:

Poor service, the place is dirty and the students were more concerned with leaving for the day (@ noon) than taking care of the clients. Waited 40 minutes only to be chastised by a student, who was wanting to leave, for sitting down at the wrong manicure table. I left without having any services. Another client who wanted on inch off the top got a burr cut, was not happy and was told "it'll grow back", and still had to pay. Bad service!

Overall Rating:

I have friends that are at my current cosmetology school that attended talequah beauty technical college & the stories they told me are horrible. They can’t write their own reviews because the owner/instructor blocked them. They were giving no basic training, just thrown onto the student salon floor with no training. They weren’t issued kits that they paid for & were NEVER reimbursed for. The product bottles are filled with Pantene/cheap products that aren’t professional. Drugs are sold out of the location. Students are made to run errands for the instructor. The instructor will have sex in the esthetician area & make the students clean up the aftermath. Do not go to this location for schooling or a service. Go somewhere else!

If I could rate no stars I would! I took my kids in there today, and we were treated horribly. I understand that they are just students, but the little girl that was cutting my 2 year Olds hair had no idea of what she was doing. She tried to get the instructor, Ricky, to help her and he wouldn't. She didn't feel comfortable cutting his hair to begin with. When Ricky finally came over to help her he was being very rude because my 2 yr old wouldn't be still, mind you he is only 2. When I had suggested that she isn't ready to be cutting such a young child's hair, his attitude progressed and so did hers. When I asked for my son, so that I could leave, he wouldn't give him to me. He just wanted to keep arguing with me. He finally set my son down on the floor. I then proceeded to pay for his messed up hair cut and leave. Ricky then proceeded to follow me outside and harass me. I have never been so disrespected in my life and I will be reporting this to the cosmetology board as well as the owner.
